What is a Holistic Nutritionist?
A holistic nutritionist believes that the body runs on the raw nutrients we consume in our diet, that we are all bio-chemically unique, and that we react differently to dietary and lifestyle stimuli.
Through holistic assessment, an athlete’s diet and lifestyle can be adjusted to strengthen and bring the body into balance, healing through nourishment it at the cellular level.
Health history, food sensitivities, indoor/outdoor environment, state of mind, dietary habits and supplemental support will be considered as part of a holistic program.
What is an Iridologist?
Iridology is a technique that uses the characteristics of the iris, such as patterns and colours in specific zones to provide information about your systemic heath in order to address and restore imbalances.
This is done by carefully examining your iris and matching it to iris charts. Using these charts, an iridologist can help identify systems and organs in your body that may be inflamed, over, or under-active.
An iridologist cannot diagnose disease and there is currently no regulation for iridologists in Canada, so it is important to insure your iridologist is otherwise regulated as a healthcare provider.
What credentials are required to practice?
When considering nutritional consulting, it is imperative that a nutritionist is both “certified” and “registered” as the term “nutritionist” itself is unregulated. It is your responsibility as a client to ensure your practitioner is both certified and registered.
